We are a locally owned, independent optician providing quality eye care and hearing care to Felixstowe.
We have a sensational range of designer glasses and sunglasses, contact lenses and the latest technology including an OCT scanner. We also have expertise in visual stress and dry eyes.
We provide private and NHS eye tests.
Our experienced staff are friendly & professional and always keen to help you.

Will has been working in optics for over 20 years. He took over the running of Scarborows in 2017 following a 10 year role as a senior Optometrist for an award-winning group of independent opticians. Will himself was shortlisted for Optometrist of the Year in 2015. Will has specialist interests in dry eye management, contact lenses and visual stress.
Henry has over 30 years experience in optics and joined the Scarborows team in 2015. He is an expert on varifocals and has spent many years working with premium lens companies such as Zeiss and Hoya. He has a specialist interest in visual stress and carries out most of Scarborows overlay/colorimetry assessments.
Caroline is the longest serving member of the Scarborows team. She is the friendly voice on the phone, the smiling face that greets you when you arrive and the glue that holds us all together and keeps the practice running smoothly.
Helen has over 20 years of experience as an Optometrist both in the UK and abroad in New Zealand and the Republic of Ireland. She joined the Scarborows team in 2019 and lives locally with her family. Helen prides herself on having a friendly and caring nature and is happy to spend time discussing your eyecare and eyewear needs.
After spending nearly a quarter of a century in the army and nine years as a security contractor in the Middle East, Ian fancied a change in career after an opportunity to work in the private hearing care sector came about. He enjoys working in patient-focused care and qualified as a Hearing Aid Dispenser with Aston University.
Cherise joined the Scarborows team in 2021 bringing with her over 10 years of optical experience. Cherise has extensive knowledge of a wide variety of lens designs such as Nikon, Essilor, Kodak, Zeiss and Hoya. She also has a particular interest in Myopia control and Visual Stress.
We are now located at 163 Hamilton Road, IP11 7DR, between the intersections of St Andrews Road and Gainsborough Road. There are five parking spaces directly outside the practice on Hamilton Road. Parking time is limited to 30 minutes between 8am-6pm. The closest car park is the Co-op/Homebase/Train Station at IP11 7DY. Entry is via High Road W then Railway Approach. Hamilton Road is via Great Eastern Square. This is approximately 3 minutes’ walk from the practice. There is also parking at Crescent Road Car Park IP11 7BX. This is approximately 4 minutes’ walk.
