Respiratory health - keeping patients and staff safe
The government removed all domestic legal restrictions regarding COVID-19 in England on 24th February 2021. On 27th May 2021, the UK-wide Infection Prevention and Control Guidance for health and care settings was also removed.
If you have any concerns and/or would like us to take extra care with regards to any respiratory illness including Covid, flu or even a cold, please let us know and we will take additional precautions. Please feel free to contact us to discuss.
Measures that we continue to take include:
Your Optometrist will continue to wear a mask during eye tests. For the rest of staff, the decision to wear a mask depends on the amount of time spent with the patient; the proximity to the patient; the size of the area and the ventilation. If you would prefer we wore a mask whilst you are on the premises, please let us know and we will happily comply. You do not have to wear a mask but please feel comfortable to do what feels best for you.
We still request that our patients continue to observe social distancing measures where possible.
Sanitiser stations remain throughout the practice.
Controlled frame selection to ensure disinfection between patients.
Strict NHS guidelines are in place for cleaning and sanitising surfaces and equipment between patients. This has always been done.
